XM-DAC-21033-1.2017 Transparency International Secretariat Establishment of integrity pacts in 11 EU member states The overall aim of the project is to address corruption by creating public demand for accountability in the allocation of public funds. Integrity Pacts will provide access to information and opportunities for citizens to hold both public authorities and companies to account, and create demand for accountability of large scale public contracts. At the same time, public officials and private companies will become more aware of corruption risks and have a greater understanding of how to apply best practice in procurement. Thus, the impact through this project will go far beyond the individual procurement procedures selected and address corruption in the EU more widely.
